I have an issue where Plexamp keeps playing only the last few seconds of tracks. Store track progress is disabled on the server and sweet fades is also off on my android Plexamp app.
I’ve been searching for months and can’t find a solution. Is there some kind of a cache that can be purged to resolve this? I stream directly as opposed to downloading to my device.
Cache clearing won’t do it. It sounds to me like Store Track Progress is still on for the library in question. The only other possibility would be using downloaded media which was downloaded before you disabled it.
You can also post a Plexamp log after such a playback and we can have a look, but it will likely just show the offset is coming back from the server, so that’s what you need to get to the bottom of.
I may have fixed it. Store Track Progress was definitely disabled on the music library I listen to. However, I have another music library and didn’t think to check the settings on that as I don’t listen to the music in there and the source in Plexamp is set to my library. Store Track Progress was enabled on this library. Since I’ve disabling it I’ve skipped through numerous tracks and they all start from the beginning. Can’t believe I missed this.
Here is something odd that just happened. I noticed red trash can icons over the albums of the library I don’t listen to so ran an analyze then emptied trash. That cleared up all the trash icons. But now the two libraries have switched places. The one named ‘Music’ is now ‘xxxx Music’ and the ‘xxxx Music’ is now ‘Music’. Easy to fix but odd it has done this. Oh, it’s not actually called xxxx Music I just didn’t want to share the name on here . Maybe that’s why it was pulling the settings from the other library.
