Strange remote access client issue

App: 2026.20.0 (issue has persisted over various versions)

Device: S26 Ultra

Hey everyone i was wondering if anyone had any insight into this.

I’m having an issue where remote access is functional on my server, however the Plex app on my phone goes several hours at a time not being able to detect my server, i also can’t use the Plex Dash app remotely, or Plezy.

However i know the server is working because app.plex.tv does work in my browser. And none of my users have reported any issues.

The first thing I would check is the DNS settings on your phone. If you aren’t already, try Google or Cloudflare public DNS servers

What does your server run on? What OS?

Try this:

Stop plex, go to the Cache directory in the plex server folder (will vary by OS), is there a certificate.p12 file? If so, rename it certificate.p12.old and start plex back up. It should download cert-v2.p12. Test the apps.
