Streaming 4K H264

Hi all, I am having problems streaming 4K H264 files to my Samsung 4K tv using the build in Plex App. every time I stream a 4K movie it transcodes it down to HD. This also happens when I stream to my PC thats has a 4K monitor and 4k graphics card.
Here is my system details:
Plex Server i5 8th gen Intel NUC = bench mark 9800
Media is on a Synology DS916+ NAS
All of my cables from switch to switch are fibre 1GB and the ethernet cable is Cat6FTP.

The only reason I can think of is the Intel NUC’s proccer is not fast enought.

Please help.

Are you sure the file is x264? Most 4K is x265/hevc.

Please post a screenshot of your plex dashboard while playing the video.

You can paste the image directly into a reply.

Thanks for your reply TeknoJunky, I just released why its transcoding. My tv is on an VLAN so Plex thinks the connection is coming from the internet and my Internet upload speed was set to 15mb, I have now changed that to 200mb and its now running 4K via direct play. I only have 1 or 2 people that stream from the internet so its not a problem. thanks for your help.
