It would be nice if Plex could adopt a class similar to Netflix’s for online streaming controls. Fast Forwarding and Rewinding are my biggest complaints at the moment with Plex. It would be nice if we could FF or Rewind in a manner that’s similar to Netflix by way that when we rewind we can see picture clips of where we are in the FF/Rew process and similar to Netflix we could increase speed of FF/Rew by tapping the back/forward arrow up to 3 times.

They certainly seem to work fine on my server, although they can take up quite a bit of space.
The OP is requesting pressing the FF and REW button once gets single double speed forward or reverse WITH thumbnail preview, press the FF or REW button again and it moves faster with preview, press it a third time and moves faster still with preview. Plex current uses a skip methodology per press, and then you hold the button to fast forward or rewind.
Would be good to specify the client then. As my primary client (Xbox One) already functions exactly as you describe.
