VIDEO PLAYER : display like netflix with thumbnails if they exist

Just modify the plex video player as follow:

  • set the focus on the slidebar to be able to rewind or forward by just pressing left or right button on the remote controller. By default, on some tv (tizen and android), we have to push UP and then we can control rewind/forward
  • automatically displayed thumbnails (and maybe resize them) like netflix… who display 2 or 3 thumbnails before and after the present time. They are always displayed, whatever the action you want. It is very convenient (and looks very cool and modern :))

with the 2 modifications, the plex player will be as good as the netfllix player for video.

PS: please do not be inspired by the amazon video player… the rewind/forward “philosophy” they use is a nightmare :slight_smile:

I cannot comment on the Android and Samsung clients… what you describe sounds like what I experience using the Apple TV client (clicking left/right on the remote skips forward/backward; thumbs/previews are included when I bring up the progress bar)
