Hi all

Not sure if im posting in the right place, but i need a little help please. I have a plex server running on my RaspberryPi quite sucessfully with no issues. My firestick is logged in and on the same network as the pi and i have no problems streaming. When im trying to stream on my work pc through the web site, i click on one of my films or tv (both mkv or mp4 doesnt matter) and it seems to take a while to buffer, but i have noticed that if i go into the player setting and change it to original quality it plays straight away. This is also the same as when streaming on my android mobile

Is there a way of changing my default setting so that no matter what device i stream to, it automatically picks the original quality.

the default settings are in the player apps themselves. the server cannot force an increased quality on clients.

A web browser is probably the most limited client.

Consider using Plex Desktop instead. It direct plays most video and audio formats.

Thank you, unfortunately i cant download the player due to admin setting set by work lol. I will just have to manually change it when playing a new video. thank you
