Starting Tuesday night I was having issues trying to remotely stream. I was getting 2-3 minutes into something and it would stop and often try to play the next item in the playlist. I started poking at it and realized there wasn’t anyone on my system and there are usually three or four things constantly running so this was really odd. I then noticed that my plex web interface kept blanking out and saying indirect connection then back to a full connection and I would see people playing content again but no buffer levels. After watching for a few minutes i’d see buffer build then they would drop off the play list only to return a few minutes later with no buffer again. Then the text messages started on my phone asking if I was having internet troubles. I applied the latest system patches, rebooted, restarted, etc and kept having the same issue. I then downgraded plex to 1.15.4.919-8e2884e4b and all the issues stopped. I thought that was odd but whatever the text messages have stopped and I was able to watch again myself.
I figured everything was working I would upgrade again after I got home from this conference and figure out what was going on. This morning there was once again nobody streaming and when I attempted to watch something it would play for a few minutes then return to the dashboard, if I was lucky, or it would just display a blank client screen. Looking at the dashboard it was once again showing an indirect connection and then would go back to direct. Checked for any new updates to the OS and figured it wasn’t working so might as well update to the latest plex again in case I mangled something with the database with the downgrade. The issue persists and people keep texting my phone asking what is going on.
Additionally it seems that the crash uploads are having an issue too.

In all your logs, I see where PMS is being commanded to shut down.
I do not see any connections dropped.
I see the active playback sessions being terminated when commanded to shut down.

I’ll upgrade to the latest again and try to get better logs of the event happening. I had nuked the logs during the troubleshooting and those may have been grabbed without the streaming events stopping. I’ll be rebooting the server tomorrow to install a P2000 anyhow.
It would probably be helpful to state whether acknowledging the unexpected behavior you called out is being looked into by you or other PLEX support member(s).
I had similar issues which have since been resolved, though not sure what actions on my part resolved.
This morning I upgraded from 1.14.1.5488-cc260c476 back to 1.15.5.994-4610c6e8d and attempted to play a file and didn’t even get to the opening title sequence before the web interface dropped off the list of available servers and acted like it was gone and the file I was direct playing stopped and acted like it was over. I had nuked the logs just a few minutes before I started testing so these should be short and sweet. Running on 1.14.1.5488 it was stable albeit missing all the nice new features with the bandwidth/resources displays and missing the transcoding details as well, but at least it was working reliably.
Hello, since nobody helped me or found a solution, I downloaded version 1.15.3.876, which is the most stable, updated again two days ago to the last one and it closed again so I returned to the previous version. Somebody could help me with the problem.
