Yep. Whenever possible playing video: Maintain the intended/original aspect ratio. Don’t crop any part of the image, horizontally or vertically.

“Zoom to fill” is completely different from “stretch”. The android tv Plex app has both these options. Please see them to understand.

As pshanew mentioned the display modes should now be available in the beta from this week 2025.13.0. You can find them under Playback Settings > Playback Options > Display Mode when playing media. There is an option for Stretch not just Zoom.

Is there any chance to get this working on ultrawide monitors for the AppleTV? I see those playback options present in the preview app but they don’t appear to do anything. I would be nice to have movies fill the entire screen on ultrawide monitors like the AppleTV app does with its content!

Does this include all the Samsung Tizen clients as well as the desktop (Plex for Windows) versions? Would love stretch to be availiable consistently across all the clients (it works great on Android TV currently). Thanks!
