I’m in the process of moving everything over to a synology NAS. Everything was going well but when scanning my folders, Plex is getting stuck. When it first happened, I deleted the folder. It continued scanning but is now getting stuck again. I’m not sure what to do. (File removed) Can anyone take a look and try to help? Thanks!
It just looks like it’s processing your music files and it’s taking very long because it has to use audio fingerprinting because it’s not able to reliably determine the track info from the folder and file names or the embedded tags.
To improve the speed of this process you should follow the recommended naming conventions: https://support.plex.tv/articles/200265296-adding-music-media-from-folders/ - take special notice of how to handle Various Artist folders too.
Hmmm, OK. I’ll just let it run then and see if it eventually goes through.
There’s definitely something going on wrong. It looks like it is finished scanning but I don’t have access to all the files that should be there. I know for a fact that several albums are not showing on plex event hough they should have been scanned in.
