My plexserver would get stuck scanning the music file, it was originally getting stuck on one track so i deleted that album and now it is another album. It was all running just fine until i turned on Sonic Analysis. Now it needs to be force quit quite regularly as it seems to get stuck and fall over.
I can’t see this issue elsewhere, i have had over 10 years trouble-free plexing so I have never really had to think about how the server works! All help appreciated.,
Same issue. I keep removing files/albums to get the scanner to finish and to get Sonic analyze to keep moving.
What I don’t get is why can’t the scanner skip files after X amount of seconds or something to keep the process moving by marking the file as bad and skipping it? I’ve been trying to get Sonic to scan my music for over a month now and it’s a lot of manual work to keep it moving. Plus the strain on my NAS is crazy.
What gets me is that file it’s stuck on will pass using MP3 checker and a bunch of other tools. Files that MP3 checker labels as bad Plex has no issues scanning. And the file plays just fine all the way through the song.
