Subs come on before person speaking on External SRT

How to resolve?

Get a different SRT file which better suits your video files.

Or adapt your SRT file yourself. Subtitle Edit

It’s coming from whatever is being downloaded from Plex. Anyway to change it through PMS?

Sorry, no.

What about to select my own SRT file through Plex?

When you have a fitting subtitle file, then name it appropriately and place it beside the video file:

Thanks. I tried that. It’s still looking at the External SRT subtitles but not the ones I added to the same folder the media is located in and named the same.

Sync is still off, but it not when I play using Media Player Classic.

Please tell me the exact filenames, both for the video file and the subtitle.

Which Plex client are you using?
Is it a Samsung TV perhaps?
Do always compare with the default Plex web app.

Samsung TV 2013 series. Interesting. Plex Web is fine… why is that?

As far as I remember, it has something to do with how the subtitles and/or the video file is played on the tv. I can’t remember the details.
I recommend you to ask this question again in here,
https://forums.plex.tv/categories/samsung-smart-hub/
this would be the right room for this device.

samsung tv plex client has a subtitle offset in options.

change the timing offset until satisfied.

just remember you might need to set it back to 0 if its only that srt
