if you want help diagnosing why they won’t play would need info about the media and what you are trying to play it on.
Thanks! It seems to be just my TV shows. Movies still play ok. I am wondering if it is the “Skip Intro” feature that is screwing this up. I have my Plex server running on a Synology DiskStation. Newest version of Plex as i just updated it today.
i think it’s because Plex Pass Lifetime enabled hardware transcoding on your server and your iGPU is too weak or too old oo correctly decode your videos (probably x265 or x264 high profile), you can disable hw transcoding in your settings in “Transcoder”, uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
I don’t think that is enabled by default.

Is a new Synology Diskstation DS720+ not powerful enough to hardware transcode?

I’m not a Syno expert but looks like you may have to change this about the driver according to our NAS guy. Synology FAQ - Questions, Answers, and a few How-To's
