Subtitle loading error

Through a managed server called “centurion”. I think you can see that in one of the screenshots I uploaded.

Thanks for that. I’ll check later but I’m quite sure there’s nothing in my settings that looks like that.

Try renaming your files:

/TV Shows/Parks and Recreation/Season 02/Parks and Recreation - S06E02.mp4
/TV Shows/Parks and Recreation/Season 02/Parks and Recreation - S06E02.eng.srt

Basically, dump all the torrent naming stuff and explicitly follow Plex’s recommended organization. Make sure you use “Season 02” not “Season 2” etc.

If this works, then you can try adding back in the episode name, etc.

The user doesn’t have access to the mp4, nor the server.
The user is likely a family user or an invited user, without a plex pass.
The user would like to add subs to what they are playing but can’t find any.

I think you have summarized it greatly! So starting them from there, is there any solution is is a problem from the server I am subscribed to?
@FordGuy61 I can’t rename the files since I don’t have access as @nibbles said. I do have access to the server content but not to modify it. I do not have a plex pass and yes I’d like to add subs to the files which I can’t.
Sorry for all the tedious post, I guess you guys are getting as annoyed as I am :sweat_smile: .

If you are not the server owner, you cannot add any subtitles. Period.

No no, I’m sorry it took me so long to understand. It’s easy for me when things are working here. I get to watch my new shows. I hope you are able to confer with the server owner and make an agreement.

To find subtitles use https://subscene.com and Firefox
In your case search for Parks and Recreation
Then click on https://subscene.com/subtitles/parks-and-recreation-sixth-season
Then scroll down and find the subtitle that fits your needs.

If you find a match, download and scan it for virus.
Unzip it and name it expertly like you did in post 11.
Offer it to the administrator.
Tell them their Plex Media Server is faster than the one on the International Space Station.
