Subtitle Offset

The subtitles the server fetches from opensubtitles.org have been great for most of my movies/tv shows, but there are a few that appear to be offset by about a second or two. Sometimes I am in environments where it’s hard to hear so I often use subtitles, and it is distracting to read subtitles that aren’t in sync with the movie/show.

My suggestion is to add a subtitles offset slider in the settings of the client side with offset from about -3s to 3s. So when I come across a movie/show in which the subtitles are off sync, I can go to the settings of that video and slide it up or down. This could also be added to the server side, but I think it would be better implemented as a client setting.

Hopefully people are still active on these forums so maybe this can get some upvotes.

Awesome job so far Plex Team! Love everything so far!

I successfully setup the Sub-Zero SubTitles plugin to download subtitles from OpenSubtitles as well as Addic7ed.

I’ve also checked the option for “Automatically extract and use embeded subtitles upon media addition…”

Upon seeing a *.srt file drop into a movie’s folder, I then played that movie, and the text is 52 seconds behind the movie…

Definitely need a way to manually sync the subtitles
