Hello, Recently I purchased a 21:9. screen for my projector. unfortunately I couldn’t seem to find any supported resolution on my SHIELD streamer, nor a setting on the PLEX android tv app to support this kind of aspect. What I do Is zoom my projection area to fit the screen, but then when I play a movie with subtitles - the BOTTOM alignment is half on the video and half off causing the subtitles to get out the protector screen borders. I wish to be able to play the movie on the whole screen and not minimize it just so that the subtitles will fit in. PLEASE add a more accurate option to fix the subtitles placements instead of just having the basic BOTTOM CENTER TOP options. Don’t want to move back to KODI, all my library is arranged on PLEX, and PLEX is a much more aesthetic and a better player. Hope you’ll add this feature soon. Eyal
There’s already a number of existing suggestions addressing that use case, e.g.
- Add subtitle position "+14% from the bottom" (2.40:1 projector screen)
- Let us position srt subtitles to bottom of video
I suggest you comment/vote in those threads in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
