Subtitle settings not working after changing settings

Player Version#: 1.53.1.3225-c0bc6cc4

Up until about a week ago or maybe 2, I was able to change the settings of my Subtitles. I would change the size, color and whether or not a background was on (yellow, normal, background on) as well as telling the player to override any other Subtitle setting.

It worked across multiple shows/movies, now it does not. All I get is basic white with a black border/stroke regardless of what type of subtitle I am using (.ass, srt, etc)

This has been happening to a few other people evidently but I dont see any fix for it. Please advise.

Didn’t see this until now.

Changing subtitle settings is not a server-side setting.

You always change them in the apps (Plex/web, Android, Roku, iOS, etc)

What did you have and what did you change to?
Which server version do you show in Settings - Server - General tab.
(4.90 is the bundled Plex/web version)
