Subtitles and audio out of sync since the last Samsung Plex update

I just found out this discussion, most likely the issues in this topic are related to this problem:

Playback fails when transcoding audio and subtitles enabled

I can confirm some of my friends using Samsung aren’t able to play some files. It looks like whenever a subtitle is enabled this error occurs. For some reason the subtitle track gets “Direct Stream”. The playback either doesn’t start at all or just stops playing after a while…this is weird. All this with Direct-Play content, with SRT subtitles included in MKV. It shows both Video and Audio as Direct Play, while Subtitles (SRT) are Direct Stream. Why would they need to be Direct-Stream-ed? I…

As I’ve stated in that topic, whenever subtitles are enabled, playback either fails instantly, or it just stops after a couple of minutes.
I still don’t know whether it’s normal that the subtitle track gets “Direct-Stream” while Video and Audio are Direct-Play.

Also my files just have at most 4 or 5 subtitle tracks, so in my case it doesn’t look like it’s related to how many tracks are available in mkv.

I also notice this happens on LG TVs, (Direct Play video/audio + Direct-Stream subtitles), except there’s no error in playback, files seem to play fine.
