I have my Plex server installed on a linux mint machine.
To reproduce my content I’m using Plex player installed on my Nvidia shield.
Everything working great.
As I like yellow subtitles I changed accordingly on Nvidia Plex player.
However the subs are always in white.
Doesn’t it work on Nvidia ?
It works on my cell phone !!
Plex cannot change the color for image based subtitles, PGS & VOBSUB.
You can change the color for SRT subtitles, both embedded in the media file and external.
Unsure what happens with ASS/SSA subtitles containing color & positioning information.
Ok ,I understand, but why does it work on android Plex player and even on Linux player ?
Besides that on Plex no matter what colour I chose it won’t change, even with external subtitles.
Plex Android mobile on my Pixel 3a XL behaves the same as Plex Android TV on my Nvidia Shield. App is set to display subtitles in yellow. PGS display in white. SRT display in yellow.
Plex on my LG is the same as well. AFAIK it is the same for all Plex clients.
I’ve no way to test that.
