This has been an issue that’s plagued me for years and I’ve never had a good fix, and I’ve seen many threads from people having similar issues, and it boggles my mind that this hasn’t been solved yet. Basically any time I watch a long video (not sure exactly but feels like > 30 min, so basically any movie or long show). E.g. currently I’m trying to watch Severance, which are 1hr long episodes. About half way through the subtitles disappear, and I’d have to turn them off then on again to get them back. I don’t want to always burn-in subtitles as the solution, as I’m trying to avoid unnecessary transcodes. What’s the issue here?
