I have just set up a plex server on a MyCloudEX2, I have some TV shows and subtitles named with the correct naming convention, e.g., showname.en.srt.
When I play it through my plex app, I can see that the English subtitles is selected, however nothing shows up. Is this because transcoding is necessary for the subtitles to be burned? And MyCloudEX2 does not support transcoding?

Note: Subtitles can introduce a wrinkle here sometimes. Even if a file’s audio, video, and container are all compatible with a Plex App, if a subtitle stream is selected and is not compatible with the Plex App, then the Server will “burn in” the subtitle text within the video. This requires a full transcode of the video stream.
