Subtitles for "Closed Captions"

Continuing the discussion from Subtitle Language Code for "Closed Captions" or "for the deaf and hard of hearing" ?:

Is there a way to get Plex to distinguish between subtitles and “Closed Captions”? There may have been some changes in Plex from the instructions written 10 years ago.

Our support article about subtitles has information on how (when using external subtitle files) you can indicate whether it is either a “Forced” or SDH/CC subtitle. e.g.

/Movies
   /Avatar (2009)
      Avatar (2009).mkv
      Avatar (2009).eng.srt
      Avatar (2009).en.forced.ass
      Avatar (2009).en.sdh.srt
      Avatar (2009).de.srt
      Avatar (2009).de.sdh.forced.srt
