Subtitles have no spaces and numbers and punctuation are very small

Server Version#: 1.32.0.6950
Player Version#: Roku 7.0.30.8287-6dae31a4f-Plex

Starting about a week ago, I noticed that when watching TV shows with subtitles that the subtitles are now without any spaces and the punctuation and numbers are very small.

We watch TV with the sound low late at night and need subtitles to follow the shows.

My setup is that Plex server is running on an Ubuntu server inside of a docker container using this docker image from docker hub: plexinc/pms-docker.

I’ve tried with my Roku client, as well as using Chrome running on my Windows 11 desktop and they both have the same issue with subtitle formatting.

I suspect this is related to the latest docker image update that occurred about a week ago. The release notes talk about subtitles in docker images being changed.

I see other people talking about the same issue here, along with some pictures: Reddit - Dive into anything

Is there a work-around for this issue, or is a fix coming down the pipe?

Attached is a example of the issue.

I’m seeing the same thing with Plex server on Ubuntu.
I had to downgrade to 1.31.3.6868 to fix the subtitles…

I just updated to today’s new version 1.32.0.6973 and it didn’t resolve the issue either.

Downgrading to docker image tag 1.31.3.6868-28fc46b27 fixed the problem temporarily.

Same for me. I was using plex web player though.
