It's easy to implement, it's most-used on other software and most important, it's an standard!
Why you don't not help us to control our subtitles in a decent way? I mean, moving or scrolling controls in order to fix delay in subtitles with mouse or apple remote is a hell, slow, without precision... IMHO this could be really easy to implement and this would help a lot for a non-english users. We used to add subtitles but controlling them is a real hell...
With VLC is easy, J and H key... I think there will be others
