Hi, mi plex server no longer load the original *.sub and *.idx subtitles files, until yesterday thas files that I add when I rip de bluerays , load perfectly, now almost all my movies and series no longer alowed to load that files due a 1M size limit for subtitles….can I fix that? I most of the libreries are from original disc and I have no need to dowload from the subtitles.org , exept in some cases…so I need to recover the option to load my own sobtitles without size limit and keep the hability to search them at the same time
Don’t use the ‘Upload’ menu item on the preplay page of the movie.
Instead, put the subtitles beside the video file, named exactly the same (except for the filename extension, of course).
Optionally, you can indicate the language of the subtile.
To clarify, if you are using the upload subtitle feature, that only works with SRT subtitles. You cannot upload sub/idx subs. You’ll have add those manually.
The server must be signed into an account with Plex Pass.
And the software version must be modern enough.
(e.g. The default version that comes with the nVidia Shield won’t do it.)
