After seeing this thread, I’ve decided to move to Infuse7. Seems to be worth the money, The GUI is not as good but the viewing experience is just perfect. The subtitles works perfectly,
Basically, for Korean subtitles, there is some similar problems.
The default size of subtitles are smaller than other apps such as Apple TV+, Disney plus.
The only workaround is to change the size in Apple TV’s accessibility menu whenever we switch to in-between those apps.
Because plex client doesn’t provide the funtion to adjust font size.
The font size of user interface looks too small.
Being over the age of 40, my eyes feel much more uncomfortable to small size fonts on screen.
I’d like Plex team to offer us the feature to scale up the UI font sizes as well as subtitles’ ones.
The temporal(?) workaround with which I came up, so far, is the following:
Using ‘Infuse’ app
You will be able to size subtitles up/down more preferably.
But you can’t still change the font itself with 3rd party’s one. Because Apple doesn’t allow to embed custom fonts in tvOS: I heard the fact from one font app creator.
Also, the app’s biggest drawback is not to support Plex multi user accounts.
Using Plex addon in Kodi
You can customize ipa file by adding 3rd party fonts and modifying UI font size in font.xml in skin(estuary?) addon.
If you embed the said adapted ipa file to apple tv, you can solve the problems related to font type, size on user interface and subtitle.
Of course, you should have apple developer subscription or use the service such as signulous.com for avoiding every 7 day - signing & installing.
