Plex no longer finds subtitles, even for videos which I have previously watched successfully with subtitles. Subtitle files with the same name as my videos, and the suffix .srt, are present in the same folders as the video files. But they are no longer available when I search for them using Plex. This happens both on my PC, and streaming to a TV via a Roku stick. I have no problem if watching the same video on my PC using VLC, and subtitles were working perfectly in Plex last week.
I’ve always been having issues with subtitles. Sometimes if I switch quality, the subtitles break and switching back to the original quality won’t bring them back. They just totally break for that item on that device. It will still work on plex on other devices. Sometimes it’s adding a subtitle online that breaks it. Once, I uploaded subs and it did nothing. Totally buggy mess.
