SUbtitles not discovered on movies played on Samsung TV using the app

the issue occur only with object from movie library (not on tv show) when playing on Samsung TV using the smart-hub application.
Even if the subtitles file is present the app won’t recognize it until I rename the srt file (I usually change name and then change back to the original value) and only at that point the subtitle is discovered and can be properly selected and displayed.
I don’t see this problem playing video from the TV show catalog only from the movie catalog.
The plex server run on a Synology on a Synology 218 play with DSM version 6.2.4-25556 Update 5
