Wow. This is weird. The file youâve sent me definitely is wrong.
I donât understand how PMP can render it correctly.
When I put your example file into my PMP, I see those ž characters which I also see in the SRT file, when looking at it in a text editor.
Yeah. Same. I dont know what to do. Is it the media player fault or what? Iam curentlly trying to install SRT2Utf-8 plugin.
It is definitely the file, which has been mangled. By opensubtitles.org when they inserted their blasted adverts, is my guess.
So can i somehow change auto-download subtitles to other site ?
âAuto-downloadâ would be when you donât explicitly tell Plex to download them, but when they come in âon their ownâ. Is that the case?
If so, then you could try a different subtitle agent.
e.g [REL] Sub-Zero 2.6.5.3124 - Subtitles done right
If you however mean those subtitles which you can download âon demandâ, then unfortunately no.
I mean the subtitles that download agents.
There are plugin i downloaded:
But i dont know how the str2utf-8 plugin is working because its not displayed in plugin on WebApp.
I will try to install from UAS.
You have them already right.
And you will (almost) only see the under
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
AFAIR if you use SubZero, you wonât need SRT2UTF8
Okay so i have them selected.
I need to remove all films and put them back so the agent will download them ?
Nooo!
Move SubZero all the way to the top.
Then try âRefresh Metadataâ on a few movies.
Donât forget to read the Wiki and the documentation, because with some of its settings SubZero can wreak havoc very quickly!
Yeah i already moved it to the top. I´ll try refresh but it didnt work when i was doing opensubtitles.
opensubtitles will only allow you to refresh a few movies. Then they will block your IP for a few hours. So never attempt to refresh your whole library at once. It wonât work.
Then, i did it like this: I dont have many films on drive so I deleted the âFilmsâ library and created a new âFilmsâ library. It downloaded subtitles in my language on every movie.
So on how many movies should i refresh metadata ? (In 5 hours as you say)
I have refreshed the metadata with new aganets and on some films and it works for these films.
If theres any problems i´ll reply to you.
Thank you for your time and help!!
I appreciate it!
~Will you please share a subtitle file here?~
~This is the typical occurrence when the subtitles contain characters that are unsupported by the font and do not have a fallback from the system.~
Boy, somehow I replied to this thread and didnât see all the activity. Thanks for sorting it out @OttoKerner + @dane22.
Hello,
I see there is some activity again.
The DesktopApp is sorted and works great.
But i have problem with WebApp which has a lot of users. The subtitles disapper after some while, after i change some settings they come back and then disappear again. Is there any solution because i canât find any l.
No, we havenât been able to reproduce this in testing to identify a workaround or fix.
Maybe the subtitles which plex downloads from the agent have unsuppotred font. I fixed the previous problem by switching to other agent for subtitles. I will try some films on WebApp with new subtitles from new agent and iâll let you know.
