So, on a new LG TV i have some issues only when enabling subtitles, and only on some videos, not all.
- Buffering… On some videos, when playing the video stops and starts to buffer for some seconds. This happens several times in the first 5-10 minutes of playback, then it works perfectly. In the log there is no error but there are hundreds of entries with transcode segments. Also, I checked, on the disk there are hundreds of files with chunks of the subtitle. The subtitle is srt embedded in the mkv. My first thought was that the disk is too slow and it cannot write those files fast enough… so i switched the temp directory to a different drive, tried SSD also. Just the same behavior
Looks like there is no video transcoding, probably it is loading the transcoder for the subtitles. (see cpu load is very low)

- if i use an external srt i still get the above chunks, but their number is lower. however, in this case when i start playback the following error appears: Playback error. Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error. I start again and again and after 5-10 tries, it simply works with no issue… Again nothing in the log but this:

So, i tried both isssues with tanscoder on / off, there is no issue with subtitles off, there is no bandwith issue (local network, gigabit + wifi6). and this issue is only on this particular LG tv. I have an older LG that works fine.
Also in the log i can find this entry a lot of times:

Files play fine via Plex DLNA (but there i do not have the external srts)
