Hi
Server : Plex Media Server v1.19.3.2843
WebOS : 4.29.5
uploading new logs on WebOS 4.1 first played movie the MKV file with internal subtitles works without buffering issues client “reporting timeline state playing, progress” during transcodeing process however the second played movie the external SRT has buffering issues, you can look at the LOG the client reports "reporting timeline state playing, progress " only after transcoding is done.
Thanks

You need to turn on the option in the LG app to enable logging to your server. This setting is only temporary, so you need to make sure this setting is enabled before recreating the issue. Then provide me a new log with that information. Right now, your PMS logs do not reveal any problems.
Hi
uploading new logs with LG app enabled logs.
Thanks

upload one more log with LG app log enabled plus server verbose log,
I noticed this one:
May 24, 2020 11:53:27.737 [4904] VERBOSE - We want 60 seconds ahead, last returned was 4114.400000 and max is 4117.490000.

Please don’t turn on verbose logging unless asked. It just causes too much noise.
Also, please provide details on what you were watching about when you see the buffering. I’m not seeing any indication of it in your logs.
on Plex Transcoder Statistics
log3 has no verbose info, log4 has verbose info , both has buffering almost immediately after play.
you can search for “WARN - [ui-chrome-webos] [Player] Buffering detected”
sometimes verbose info has an important info to figure out what is going on.
I played only one or two movies on that logs to minimize the size of it.
on server log4 with verbose info.

Yes, when asked for. I didn’t ask for it. I don’t need that info now.
Pick one. What was the movie?
Hi
loading new logs with updated Server and Client.
buffering when SRT is selected almost immediately after first play action.
I think the buffering end after the full length of the substitute file was processed by the Transcoder.
the log includes only one movie playing to make log minimal.
Thanks

loading one more log , with a short experiment to test is small SRT subtitles file with only few lines will effect the buffering almost immediately after first play action.
no affect even a short subtitles file has the buffering issue duration of buffering did not change.

trying to downgrade to PlexMediaServer-1.16.0.1226-7eb2c8f6f-x86.exe did not help.
the issue exist on all my LG 4k TVs version 3.8 to v4.1 WebOS.
Thanks
Hi
any update on the buffering issue on Plex WebOS clients ?
the logs show clearly there is an issue of buffering
Thanks
I couldn’t see any reason why it would buffer. I have an LG TV running WebOS 4.1 and I cannot reproduce the issue.
The only thing I can think of is that at the end of your log, it showed the Plex DLNA server shutting down. If you’re not using that I would recommend turning it off. I’ve seen lots of network issues where that was the cause.
I shutdown the server to minimize the logs sizes that is way you see the DLNA Server shutdown.
I have a cisco 1G switch and all is working, I also tried to turn off the router after Plex client is up and running, did not help.
loading one more log with verbose since normal log did not help.

DLNA has it’s own log. But if you shut it down, then it was running. Leave it off. Restart PMS. Try to recreate problem.
I don’t need more logs, especially not verbose. I could see in your previous logs that it’s buffering, but there is no indication of why. Verbose logs won’t help with that.
