I’ve been experiencing an issue on multiple platforms, iOS, Xbox one X, Webapp, Roku, etc… Where if a show has an external subtitle file I can’t resume playback after leaving. I can pause and walk away and its fine, but if I exit out and choose resume at “xx:xx” it will never load until I turn off subtitles in playback settings. The same thing happens when seeking through a movie or TV show. I can’t re-enable subtitles afterwords, as it buffers endlessly.

Same here, hope somebody takes a look at this soon. Im running the server in synology os and have web os from lg and an apple tv as a client.
I’ve also been experiencing this issue for the past couple weeks. I initially thought it was a specific to the video file, but it seems to be system-wide. I’ve been working around it by noting my resume timestamp, starting the movie from the beginning with subtitles enabled, then fast forwarding up to my resume point. It works every time, but its a pain. Especially because I have trailers enabled, so I have to swipe through two trailers every time I want to resume. I hope this gets fixed soon.
I believe I’m also having this issue as I had been watching an anime in English for a while without issue and now that I’m watching it with subs, it constantly gets stuck when I seek after starting a new episode.
And I also haven’t noticed it in anything that wasn’t subbed. I’ll do more testing, but I hope this is fixed in the future.
