I have been watching a lot of TV shows on my Xbox 360. It always starts my shows saying None under subtitles, but the subs are still showing. I have to go into Subtitles, Choose English, restart the show and then Go back and Select None again for them to go away. I am not sure if there is a setting that I am missing, but I can't seem to figure out why they are on when None is the option showing when the show starts.
I haven't been able to reproduce. can you confirm your server version #. what type of subtitles? SRT, SSA, PGS, etc.. are they external to file or internal?
Server it was happening on was 0.9.12.0 (Just saw there is a server update available and am downloading it now). Subtitles are internal for the files. Not sure of what type the subtitles are.
can you get the media "XML information" see here how to get it.

I can also confirm that this happens some times.
Edit:
It seems to me that it does not show the subtitles downloaded by the subtitles.org agent.
But if the setting is setup for automatic choosing subtitles and the language is the one that subtitles.org agent have downloaded then it is just showing none as the choosen one but if you actually choose none the subtitles goes away but you can not turn them back on.
One work around is to select a subtitle, let it reload itself with that, then go back to none, and at that point it seems to understand what it should have done in the first place.
Yeah, I have been doing that but it’s a pain…
