I’m just seconding the frustration to AppleTV handling of subtitles using the new player. My problem though is more specific to the new player showing no subtitles at all for unknown (closed captions). That’s a big issue for live tv subtitle display. The old player has no problem with showing those subtitles, but the new one says they are there but will not display anything. I am sure this is part of the same problem we all here are having with the new player and subtitles. I did post about this myself - Subtitles with Unknown (closed captions) will not display with new player (old works) - but I assume the Plex developers will continue to ignore our pleas for help with something so unimportant to them such as subtitles.
