Suddenly .LRC files aren't showing up

I’ve been using LRC files, and I love them! But in the past couple of months, whenever I add an LRC file, it won’t appear. On FireTV and Plexamp, nothing appears. On my PC, the loading spinning wheel appears and never finishes. So it is seeing SOMETHING, as “Show Lyrics” appears.

For the record, I AM naming the LRC file the same as the MP3 file, I AM Refreshing Metadata. I’ve added LRC files after Plex already has the MP3 cataloged, I’ve also added the MP3 and LRC at the same time.

I can still see the lyrics of songs previously added before this problem. Any advice?

copy of your server logs? Database corruption is my first though but total guess without logs.

Taking a look at your logs I am not seeing any notes about database corruption. However I am also not seeing the server startup/initialization logs, nor am I seeing anything mentioning LRC files. I would restart plex and perform the Plex Dance on a folder with LRC files. Then post updated log files.

You need to refresh the album artist, not the album.
Are you using upper case file name extensions, or lower case? It should be lower case, i.e. .lrc and not .LRC.

So again, I’ve done this successfully for quite some time. One day it just stopped working. All my older LRC additions still work, just the newer ones do not. And Plex can see that there are lyrics for the song, I just either get a blank screen or a spinning circle that never completes.

Yes, I am refreshing the album artist. Yes, .lrc is lower case.

Which Scanner and Agent are selected in the properties of the music library?

Are your new files encoded using UTF-8? (all sidecar text files [i.e. lyrics and subtitles] should use this encoding schema for Plex server)
