Suddenly no media server

Hi, Not really had any issue before that needed support, however , I am posting here because I am not sure what to do.

I tried to connect to plex via roku on a couple of TVs today, but just got the circle of wait… I thought it was just slow internet , so thought nothing of it.

Just went on my laptop that I use for server and noticed, for the 1st time ever, that there is a ! sign on the movie symbol an it will not connect to server. I installed latest update (jan 27) , logged out / in, and followed instructions on the page that says ‘troubleshoot’ , it did not shoot . Just left trouble.

Any ideas how I get access to my server back ?

I can’t remember for sure, but if you hover your mouse over the exclamation point does it give you a message? Also, did you navigate to the drive with your media in it to see if the drive is working?

When I click on he movie icon, it says Mxxxxxx server is unavailable verify you have a network connection… etc

Yes both external hard drives are ok.

Hmm… Have you tried simply shutting off the server and restarting it? If the “Server is unavailable” that generally points to some sort of networking issue, but you said you’re on the laptop/computer that hosts the server right?

Plex Status, all systems are 100%. I would look at Flushing the DNS cache

I went old school and did a restart on my laptop and that seemed to work.

Just not sure what caused it to drop in the first place
