I have managed to get it working again!
In a somewhat unrelated endeavour, I was Googling why I get such slow download speeds on my PS4.shortpause.com/blog/2014/6/4/a-short-pause-remedy-for-slow-download-speeds-on-playstation-consoles
Coincidentally my download speeds on my PS4 are much faster now as well.
Hope this helps anyone experiencing similar problems.

I put in your DNS recommendations and it works…
Yay thank you mate. Setting manual Network configuration with Google DNS helped me too

Putting Google´s DNS´s the problem is solved for my. Thank You.
Amazing that’s heaps all up and running again!!
Using the google DNS settings seems to have worked on my end too, thanks for the heads up.
Rubbish though that we seem to have not got one official comment regarding this though and have had to rely on a user stumbling across a work around.

Oh man, i was looking for an anwser for the sudden “unable to connect to …” error with my PS4. My Sony Bravia smart tv was able to connect thru the Opera tv store soft but not thru the console. With your fix, Plex is fully functionnal and even more faster than before !

Thanks this fixed my problem with my Plex on my PS4 pro.
Same here. PS4 app quit working months ago and now it’s good again. Thanks.
My biggest question… why does this work? I’d like to better my understanding in these matters.
