Suddenly unable to connect to PS4

Hello,

I moved recently and we finally got the internet in the new place last week (BT Infinite) and was able to start using Plex again on my Desktop and PS4 again, plus i downloaded the Android app and have been using that recently too.

Today suddenly when i go to load Plex on my PS4 it says its ‘Unable to connect to …’ It says it tried connecting to 2 different IP addresses and that i am logged into my account.

It then says the selected server cannot be reached securely and that an insecure connection may be possible and how to change that.

I havent changed any settings etc and can still use it on my desktop and android phone but its just the PS4 that suddenly is an issue.

Any help with this would be great.

Same Problem here since today. Saturday everything worked fine. From my iPhone everything works as suspected.

I’m having the same problem as well. Have tried to set up port forwarding multiple times but no luck. iPhone and iPad are connecting without any issues.

Same here too. Guessing something broke in an update. How do we submit/track this issue?

Same for me, since yesterday I have no connection to my synology Nas from my PS4 pro. I think that I have updated the server but I am not sure if it worked before. The day before everything worked fine and also on other devices like iPhone, iPad, Laptop everything works as it should.

I’m getting the same problem. Last night and tonight. Has anyone worked out what’s going on?
Also I’ll add it works on my iPad. My mobile and my android tv box. Just not ps4.

Exactly the same prob here as with Dirtshubb. Seems nobody with plex does take care of it.

Same problem; none of the buttons work. I guess the PS4 app is broken?

I have been trying to figure out what’s wrong for 3 days now! I’m pleased I’ve seen this.
Is there any news on a fix? Can’t find anythingso far.

I’m experiencing exactly the same (none of the buttons work) and after deleting all managed user I also find myself always at the “Retry” screen. Must be a PS4 App bug I guess… Hopefully somebody is working on it!?

I’m guessing no one knows how to fix this yet. Day 4 still not working and not hearing anything from admins doesn’t help…

I was chatting with Sony support and only recommended uninstalling and reinstalling Plex. The problem was not solved.

I think the point of conflict is the system software upgrade 4.06 that was installed a few days ago on the PS4.

Right the upgrade 4.06 could be the cause. However I’m pretty sure that I used Plex after the system update at least one maybe even two times and everything was fine. Reinstalling the Plex App didn’t work for me either. I also allowed insecure connections without any result. PS3 is working though…

Funny…I tried again this morining and it works. No idea why…didn’t change anything. I’ll watch it.

I’m having the same problem as well.
If I change the setting to allow fallback to insecure connection it still does not connect.
Please help!
