Suddenly unable to view photos on my Synology NAS

Player Version#: 3.108.2

Suddenly I am unable to view ANY photos in my Plex library on my Synology NAS. I thought it might be a permission problem, so I changed the directories to 755 and files to 644 in one directory that contains photos. I then deleted my photo library and when I add a photo library, I get a message stating “There are no items in this library”. Any ideas what suddenly broke this? I believe the issue arose after a Plex update. Note that music and movies work just fine.

If your photos are in the default Synology photos share, this can contribute to the problem. Their photo app and Plex conflict.
