When clicking on the movie folder, there is play all, shuffle add to playlist and more, for days when I just want to watch something and don’t know what to watch, I wish there was a PRM “play random movie” option, when clicking on PRM, you would have multiple choice options, 2 for example would be, PRM > ALL or Unwatched, depending what you select, it would randomly choose a movie based on the selection you choose.
If you chose “ALL”, then it would randomly choose from any 1 title from ALL movies, watched or unwatched, if you choose “Unwatched” it would choose a random title only from the titles you have yet to watch.
Example: Plex with PRM option
This would be great for those days you are bored and not sure what to watch.
go into your movie library
filter for unwatched movies only
press ‘shuffle’
done.

That works, still would be great to just have a single button to press, thanks for the reply, it choose a kids movie as the first random thing to watch… sigh

You can make a custom filter which not only excludes all watched movies but also excludes some genres or age classifications.
Then you could turn that into a ‘smart’ playlist.
Afterwards, you only need to call up this playlist and hit ‘shuffle’.
