Hello, I have been using plex for years, ever since a family member who is a die hard premium plex fan introduced me to it, once the COVID-19 ends I too plan on getting the premium features, that aside. I am one of those people, that when I watch something I have already seen, and I know what it will be, it is extremely hard to decide to watch action, Pixar, Horror, Thrillar etc, or even specific tv shows, if I know what is coming on, I think it is dumb, but if I do not know and it is random, it seems more enjoyable, I know this sounds weird, currently for tv series there is a random section in each individual show section like in the below image.
for people like me, the shuffle feature is ideal, as we do not like having an pre-determined show to watch, or movie for that matter if it is something we already watched, however if it is set to a random wheel, it makes it more entertaining similar to the thrill of watching something on tv, that you already have on dvd, for the sheer fact, you did not know it would be on. as odd that is sounds, it is a chemical thing.
With that said, I would like to request the following.
An option section in options with the following.
- SHOWS
- Select what tv shows to add to the random shuffle
- Frequency a specific show will show type in percent i.e. 25% Family guy etc.
- What Genre’s to add, i.e. if Horror or Thriller is unchecked, it will not show American Horror Story, unless in a Percent.
- an area to Check Show all, and it will evenly show everything randomly
- MOVIES
- Section to Enable Show all
- Show by Genre specific
- Show by random
- Genre Percent, to show what percent a certain type would have
This would be ideal for movie night, and people like me, that actually get sick to their stomach if they have a choice of what to watch without it being random.
