I am a bit confused regarding audio books. Currently I have some in .MP3 format. Does Plex support Audio Books yet or no?
Plex sort of supports audiobooks in that, if enabled in the server settings for the library, you can FF and RW the resume position is remembered.
This is better than nothing but it still lacks a LOT.
The easiest way to currently use Plex with this level of support is to merge the mp3 files of a given book into one big file. That way Plex handles it pretty well and you do not have to remember which segment was last played.
I have not found that Plex’s implementation works well enough for me to use it. I still use a small computer dedicated to MediaMonkey and linked to my Echo Dot that is connected into my whole house system. (Using that I get simple voice controls like “Alexia Play” and “Alexia pause” as well as stable and easy playback.) Roku is going to have to progress a LOT more to beat my setup for audiobooks but they have made a first step but it is just a baby one. But babies grow up and hopefully Plex’s audiobook support will as well.
Are there any plans to add this support in the future?

No one, except the insiders at Plex, knows for sure and they will not be saying because Plex does not pre-announce anything.
