Is there any way to get plex to recognize TV series whose episodes contain multiple parts? An example would be the Classic Doctor Who, whose episodes would be in multiple parts, IE S23E1P2? Plex only seems to see the Season (Series) and Episode, and puts all parts as “versions”, while the TVDB doesn’t match up the names at all correctly…

Make sure those files are not actually individual episodes (as this extract from TheTVDb.com of Doctor Who Classic, Season 1):

If it’s actually separate files/parts of the same episode you might want to consider appending the files using e.g. MKVToolNix.
