Definitely, but actually a little +1 once in a while has its perks too : topic afloat = noticeable topic.

1815+ here... please update!
Oh man, I can't believe this. One line of code. Seriously, please sort this out Plex people. (Yes, I liked the original post)
I wonder if anyone is reading this forum...
I seriously doubt it. The word on the street is that support for any Synology boxes is 'questionable'. That's why I've moved on to a setup that actually works.. and it works better than Plex albeit not quite as 'pretty'. I'm streaming 37 Mb/s video (yes, extreme but sweet). Try that with Plex.
FWIW, I have my DS-1815+ now, compilers installed. It's a sweet, fast box.
Now, if i can only get the forum to stop sending me notifications...
Please, Plex developers, could you just drop a hint as to whether Synology will get support or not? I’ve postponed buying a NAS since December waiting for just this. And I bought Plex Pass hoping it would raise any chance of getting an answer.

Stop spreading the street word then, since this is the questionable part here ... Plex guru himself told a few weeks ago in the Synology section that there is absolutely no plan to drop synology support. Odds are this is basically a "non event" only existing because we're obviously not the priority here (and that's a shame, considered we're not that rare after all), but hey whining is useless. I guess they're just very occupied at the moment: new stuff shown at the CES, new clients ... as far as i'm concerned i'm waiting two or three more releases before anything.

If you knew how staunchly I supported Plex and how much time I put in........... Really? Please think about what you're saying. Thanks very much.
It takes all of 60 seconds to add support to the INFO file for the AVOTON processor. No recompile is needed. HOW long has it been?
I develop software for a living.
