Since 3.5 sweet fades appears to no longer work on iOS (iPhone XR). I use with a downloaded playlist and there is no cross fade. Disabled sweet fades and re-enabled but still not working.
Not aware of any issues, was listening today in the car and had them just fine. Is it possible you downloaded the playlist before the items in it were analyzed for loudness?
If you post a log file it would show if indeed it wasn’t doing the fades.
That’s a good point. I had rebuilt Plex server on a new Mac mini and created and downloaded a playlist in short order. The playlist has been on my Plex server now for about a week, let me delete and re-download and then I’ll retest.

This did not fix the issue. Attached is the log.
Thanks.

There’s no gain or overlap duration here. Either you have Sweet Fades and loudness leveling disabled, or the server hasn’t computed loudness for them yet (most likely the latter).
Thanks for the update. I have over 8000 songs on my server. Is there any way I can monitor the progress of the loudness levelling?
Not at the moment, except looking at Plex Media Scanner Deep Analysis log files. Check also your library advanced settings to see when they are generated (after scan, or scheduled tasks).
That makes sense as the maintenance widow is overnight when my server has been switched off. However, last night I left it running. I deleted and re-downloaded the playlist this morning and sweet fades are now working. Thank you for you help, I have a much better understanding of how Plex Server works under the covers for music.
You’re welcome!
