Sweet Fades on iOS(v 13.3) and PLEX(v 6.6) Not Working on Downloaded/Synced Music

I started using the default streaming mode on my iPhoneXS iOS(v 13.3) and PLEX(v 6.6) and the Sweet Fades worked just fine, but when I downloaded the tracks, the Sweet Fades stopped working. Deleted the downloaded music using PLEX option and the Sweet Fades started working again with streaming from my PLEX server. What’s happening? This really should be working on downloaded tracks.

Running PLEX server: Version 1.18.3.2156-349e9837e
on macOS Catalina ver. 10.15.2

Sweet fades is controlled by PMS, so it can’t be done on downloaded content since PMS is not involved.
