Switch from being billed through Google Play to start being billed directly through Plex?

I saw this section on this page called

“How do I switch from being billed through Google Play to start being billed directly through Plex?”

Questions:

Does it require an Android phone or one purchase through Google Play via a Browser using a Gmail Account?

I am thinking of using Google Play cards to add credit to a google account, then using the instructions at link above to move it all to my Plex Account, is this possible for a lifetime Plex Pass?

Is the reply to the link below still valid?

I am so confused about how a PlexPass can apparently be applied to multiple servers?

When you add this new “claiming” aspect it makes it even more confusing,

Currently I have a plex account per device because I thought I might be using the Plex Client on a different server. Is there a diagram somewhere that explains the hierarchy of Plex Lifetime Pass, Plex Accounts, Plex Servers ?

A Plex Pass is attached to a certain Plex account.
(The same applies to the newly introduced “remote watch pass”. If you have a fully-blown “Plex Pass”, you don’t need a “Remote Watch Pass”.)

You can have as many Plex servers and client devices as you like, signed into the same Plex user account.
This is in fact the regular use case if you only use the Plex server for yourself. You claim the server and log in all your client devices into the same Plex user account. That way the clients automatically find the server and have instant access to all its contents.

Only if you want share your media with other persons, (like e.g. family who don’t live with you under the same roof) or with friends you need to care about other plex user accounts.

For family members who do live with you, and who need their own “watched” state etc, you can create so-called “managed user accounts”: https://support.plex.tv/articles/categories/features/plex-home/
