On both my iPad and iPhone, when my hubs are set to be manually managed, when I switch between users the new user’s hubs are shown and greyed out until the data loads. It has been like this for a while and is basically expected.
However, if I set the hubs to be automatically managed, doing the same workflow shows the original user’s hubs, a spinner is shown, and then there is a jarring switch over for the content of the new user’s hubs.
For example:
Manually managed hubs
UserA → switch to UserB → shows UserB’s hubs and posters (though greyed out) → quick refresh of all the data and everything is shown as expected.
Automatically managed hubs
UserA → switch to UserB → shows UserA’s hubs with spinner → snaps over to UserB’s hubs.
Normally when doing this while in a user’s home page is not a big deal but this happens if UserA closes Plex and then UserB opens it and logs in…they see UserA’s content. Seems like this goes against the user isolation/security.
Also, with all the new features coming down the pipe and the fact they seem to leverage the Automatic Managed hubs, this might lead people to not use the new features (IMHO).
Can a dev or someone see if this is a known bug and, if it isn’t known, could a dev look more into this?
