I am trying to have 3 instances of plex use the same userdata folder. However, when I run the comman lin symlink command, the link will turn into an alias after a day or so, and I don’t know what event causes this. Any ideas?
hmmm… I have a similar need with my setup, but the main difference is that I shared the Plex userdata folder on the source computer, then mounted the share on the target computer to then create a symlink and place it in the ~/Library/Application Support/Plex of the target computer. in order not to see the share on the desktop of the target computer, I used an apple script to mount it after reboot or logout/login
from what I’ve noticed during all the different attempts I tried while playing with Symlinks, it looks like the link gets broken (hence the alias you are referring to)
I guess you tried the command line, but have you tried a different approach such as using this?
