Sync button in the iOS/iPadOS app doesn’t sync subtitles

I have a lot of tv shows that get automatically synced to my devices (iPad and iPhone), sometimes after Plex has synced the files, the subtitles are added on OpenSubtitles. Using the sync button in my Plex App > Download & Sync > Manage does not sync these subtitles, this seems like a bug to me.
To “sync” the subtitles I have to delete the synced media and resync it.
The conversion usually takes a while and aren’t easy on my NAS’s hardware.

Side note: When I watched a synced TV show, while both my NAS and mobile devices are connected to internet, the afterwards-added subtitles wouldn’t be shown (even if I select them) unless I disabled “Prefer downloaded content” in the advanced settings. Which is a decent workaround if I watch my media online, but partially beats the purpose of having synced media.

This will be addressed in our new downloads feature, that is replacing sync :slight_smile:

It used to work great in the past…
