Sync stuck on "Waiting to download"

Plex Team is working on identified issues, and will hopefully be addressed in the next few releases (supporting proper release cadence).

Feels like we’re getting some love

Thanks all

You need to delete this, you’re publicly sharing a lot of private info. I made this mistake as well, just delete this post. (the log files you’ve attached share a LOT of info).

Yes, I noticed that. The logs definitely aren’t scrubbed… Plex should have what they need for troubleshooting now.

Latest update got my sync to progress further but now I see the storage limit reached bug, and moving the slider no longer fixes it. Deleting synced data and changing storage location has no impact, nor does clearing cache/data or even uninstall reinstall.

If devs need logs I can DM them.

Tried 7.1.1.5878 - but had basically the same experience as with 7.1.0 - “storage limit reached” even though enough storage was there.

Running PMS on freenas in a manual jail Version 1.13.2.5154
Clients running android 7.1.1.5878(c15209b3) sync has worked better with the updates on client side. But clearly there is space on the client but it says full. I have adjusted the slider i have 100GB used of a possible 1.5 TiB. It seems like it is syncing to a a certain size limit and stopping. I am trying to sync my family’s favorite shows for off-line watching at the cottage…

Hope it get fixed soon, really need plex sync feature

Just installed 7.2.0.6005 (ce1d8c02), and it’s still incorrectly saying that the storage limit has been reached, even though more than enough storage is available. I wonder what makes calculating the free storage so difficult, especially since the free storage amount is actually correctly displayed in the sync settings (7.2 GB used, 13.6 GB available).

Same here;
Sync capasity on card full but still 29gig,free?? All syncs stuck on 50%. Relocated all to sd, no difference. Reinstalled downgrading plex firmware, nothing. New sd card , nothing.Trying to syncing now for 6weeks and only 3% is stored. Trying to find info from pkex, NOTHING!!! solution from plex NOTHING!!!
Only i have this issue, no! Many many others. Reaction from plex NOTHING!!!
So in the mean time back to media monkey

FYI there are now two different posts tracking this storage issue: Storage Limit reached with 34.6GB space left

Plex has stopped syncing because it says my storage limit has been reached. The SD card has plenty space left and Plex is given 34.6GB more space to use.
It seems to be a consisent issue once 1.4GB space is used.
I’m using the new release from yesterday. 7.1.something

I am having a similar issue. Also related is the sync process does not seem to handle large music playlists very well. It gets stuck on them.

This is a known issue and is apparently being worked on… as reported in another thread.

I have the exact same problem.

Try moving the storage slider a bit in settings. It cleared the problem for me.

Moving the storage slide only cleared it for a few seconds for me. Then it went back to saying the Storage Limit was reached.

Yes, this is not working for me now as well. Moving the slider does not help after I updated to 7.1.1.5878

Same issue here, Sync gets up to using 1.2GB and then stops, even though though it says “163.8GB available.”

Moving storage slider bar
Deleting synced items and re-syncing
Clearing app cache and data and re-syncing
Full uninstall of app and re-syncing

One thing I’ll note that I haven’t seen mentioned yet, if I delete all my synced content the issue persists. It will still say “Storage limit reached” even though it shows there are no currently synced items (see screenshot)

App version: 7.1.1.5878
LG G6

I won’t pretend to know how “easy” this is to fix but it’s a fairly major issue that has persisted through at least 1 update.

I’m a brand new Plex Pass lifetime owner and I wanted to sync some music to my Android phone. Unfortunately I, too, am having trouble syncing. “Storage limit reached” and my 128gb SD card is nowhere near full. Tried allocating more of the card in Plex for syncing to no avail. Only thing I’ve tried so far is restarting my phone. What’s going on here? Can we track progress on this issue somewhere? This was a major reason for getting a Lifetime Plex Pass and it’s not even working…

I’m in the exact same situation. Generally syncing to Plex seems to work 1 in 4 times or so on Android. With a product that’s so consistently broken it would be nice to have a single page to track all the bugs.
